On May 21st, the launch event for the palm scanning boarding service on the Daxing Airport Line of Beijing Rail Transit was held at Daxing Airport Station. It was announced at the event that the “palm scanning” boarding service on the Daxing Airport Line of Beijing Rail Transit had officially gone live. The service adopts a fusion recognition technology combining “palm print + palm vein”, which is characterized by being medium-free, contactless, highly convenient, and highly secure. Compared with face recognition for gate-passing, the “palm scanning” boarding service requires passengers to actively stretch out their hand to scan their palm in front of the palm print gate, and the system can then obtain information and confirm it after comparison and recognition in the background. The “palm scanning” boarding service attaches great importance to passenger information security, using dedicated channels and encrypted communication technologies to effectively eliminate the risk of passenger privacy data leakage and replication.

Easy Registration, Convenient Use
Passengers only need to record their palm information on the palm scanning registration machine at the automatic ticket office and complete the authorization on the WeChat mini-program “Beijing Subway Palm Scanning Boarding” to activate the palm scanning boarding function. When entering the station, passengers can use the palm scanning gate with a ring symbol, place their palm facing the recognition area inside the ring, and after completion of recognition, the ring will turn green, and the gate will open automatically. When exiting the station, they simply scan their palm again, and the travel fare will be automatically deducted from WeChat Pay. Passengers can enter and exit the station by stretching out their hand, even in special situations such as forgetting to bring a physical card or having a dead phone battery, they can still take the subway. Palm scanning for gate-passing is contactless, hygienic, and safe.
